Dr. La received a B.S. in Genetics and Plant Biology from UC Berkeley before completing optometry school at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. She has had extensive training at the Veterans Affairs hospitals in Miami, FL and Monterey, CA as well as at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. La also completed additional residency training in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL.

Her special interests lie in pediatric optometry, general optometry, and contact lens fitting for adolescents and adults. Dr. La enjoys managing patients for myopia control (nearsightedness) and binocular vision conditions such as accommodative insufficiency and convergence insufficiency. She is glaucoma certified and is comfortable managing eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, dry eyes, and diabetic retinopathy.

Dr. La spent her childhood growing up in Las Vegas, NV but now calls the Bay Area her home. She enjoys exploring new places, playing board games with friends, watching Disney/Pixar movies, and visiting the Oakland Zoo and aquariums with her toddler and husband during her spare time.
