Dr. Katherine Makedonsky completed her undergraduate work at UC Davis before receiving her doctorate from UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 2017.  She has worked in primary care optometry, Veteran’s Affairs Hospitals and at community health clinics. She speaks Russian fluently and is able to conduct an eye exam in Spanish as well.

Dr. Makedonsky is glaucoma certified and is comfortable managing and monitoring conditions such as glaucoma, dry eye, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic eye disease. In addition to patient care, Dr. Makedonsky works in the research sector, consulting on medical devices used for monitoring eye diseases. In her free time she enjoys hiking, attending concerts and traveling internationally.
